Unity Hop- Down Memory Lane

*please click on picture to see it larger*

Happy Thursday!
for my hop card today I am going down memory lane….
to my first Unity stamps actually
yes that far back lol

My oldest daughter is graduating High School soon and her Prom is less than 2 weeks away. She has a few offers on the table for College and University and has pretty much decided on her course of action for now. I have watched her blossom and grow and work to find her own way in life- not just the one that perhaps people expected of her or actually didn't expect of her. I know that sounds vague but she has fought to get where she is today and to see so many schools offer her admission makes me so proud. I wanted to make her a card to show that I see her forging her own way and that she is doing the right thing…for her. So I dug into my Unity collection and found this quote from the simply named 'Unity Quote Bundle Pack'. Part of my first Unity purchase ever. And I saved and saved my pennies to get them as I needed these quotes in my collection!!! Great to say what your heart feels and also great to make up some quick cards. Oh and my daughter loves pink, black and white and Paris themes hence my photo backdrop today in her honour hee hee.

Unity Thursday- Easy Peasy Sale Day

Happy Thursday!

Today I used the Unity set 'With Sympathy' as I needed to make 2 sympathy cards. Not my favourite to make for many reasons. See these simple cards? They took 2 days to make. Two.Days. I truly struggled with how to keep it simple and keep the colours soft so that it wasn't offensive. I am positive i overthought this by 100%. 6 different cards made and these two made the final cut. Which one do you like better? Do you also struggle with Sympathy cards. For example- is it okay to use glitter? I have no idea and maybe there are no rules.

On to the great sale details!

Now that is what I call a nice and easy sale!

Also- We have TWO amazing Unity filled prize packages to giveaway.  Leave a comment on EACH blog in the hop (including the Unity blog) for your chance to win.  The winners will be announced Saturday night on the Unity blog.

A very Puny Unity Hop!

First sorry for the terrible photos but it is a very tray day here today
and getting out my photo tent with 2 puppies all over me wasn't an option lol

So as you can see I had so much fun with one of the new Puny sets being released today. I had to play with 'Pun in the Kitchen' first as the 'Grate Day' comment actually made my oldest teen daughter laugh really hard so I knew it was a good one. And once I started making my clean and simple card with the grate I thought why not make a set? It took no time at all!

For more of a 'Puny' good time keep on hopping and see all that we have to offer today! And as always  there is a prize!

We have TWO amazing Unity filled prize packages to giveaway.  Leave a comment on EACH blog in the hop (including the Unity blog) for your chance to win.  The winners will be announced Saturday night on the Unity blog.

So pop on over to the amazing Jimmi's blog next where she has created a card with a new image she loves so much she wants to marry it! I don't blame her after seeing her cute card! ;)

My Mind's Eye and Paper Smooches fun

Here is my card over at the SGD blog today!

Andrea here with a quick card using MME's newest collection and a new Paper Smooches set Scripty Sayings.  I have long adored the little metal pins or 'flair' that I have seen kicking around and finally cracked and bought some when I saw 'Now and Then' set. I used some matching washi tape from the collection as well as some small note cards. I used the Paper smooches set to add my celebrate sentiment and then I was done!

What will you make today?
Cheers, Andrea

My post at SGD- Fantastic Copic Marker App

*please note I disgustingly have more markers than this now. I has a problem* ;)

I shared over on the SGD store blog today how I keep track of my markers when out shopping. At this point I have all the markers (gulp) and have started my refill collection. When I am out I forget what I need and what I already have and used to frequently by doubles. Then the copic marker app came into my life for smartphones. Oh how I love thee….

I copied my post from the store blog- click here if you want to check it out!

Happy Saturday!

Last night was the 2nd Copic Community Club night and it was loads of fun! I have a headache today from laughing so much! This class is for all skill levels as it is more about getting together and colouring and sharing tips. If you want to join us it is the last Friday of each month!

During the class I shared my Copic app that I used on my smartphone to keep track of what markers I had including refills. Well let me say it caused a lot of excitement so I wanted to reshare it on here today for anyone with a smartphone to use.

This is NOT through Copic themselves but rather a brilliant husband of a crafter :)

Now on to the Copic Marker App I found online! He even keeps it updated and improving it all the time. I think I kinda love him a little bit hee hee.

A gentleman whose wife buys copics made an App to help her keep track of what markers she owns so that she doesn't buy duplicates- not that any of us would know what that's like right? It can be used for Iphones or Smartphones. This is genius!!! As I already own all the colours...yes...pretty much...I am going to use it to keep track of my refills as I am slowly building up my collection.

Thank you Thank you Thank you to whoever this awesome man is!

That's it for me today. Have a great week!

Andrea
