Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge- Use White and Pearls

The fabulous and super talented Jeanne is our hostest with the mostest this week and she wants us to make a Kraftin' Kimmie card with white and pearls. No problem for me as I have tons of pearls in my stash at all times. I used Hattie from the August release and coloured her with my copics and some Shimmerz. I cut her out and not because I messed up on colouring her for a change lol! I used more of my Halloween DCWV paper, a pearl swoop and some cool crystals I picked up from Amy at her Paper Romance store. They have so much bling factor to them!

To read about the challenge deets and see the always incredible art from the rest of the DT hop over to the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps challenge blog and play along with us.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Andi xoxo

ATU13- Baby what's your flavour?

The challenge over at All things Unity is "Baby what's your flavour?"
Show us, are you…

Fun & Cute

Clean & Graphic

Shabby Chic

Vintage

Classy & Elegant

Do you have a particular style?

I have a hard time categorizing my style but I tend to lean more towards clean and simple (CAS), with a dash of Shabby chic and Vintage. Probably surprising to many of you who see many cards from me in the opposite style but I enjoy creating in different ways and pushing myself to think 'outside of the box'.

BUT....

My favourite card to make is one with a quote and kraft paper. I don't know why but it just makes me so happy. I also adore sewing on cards yet I don't do it often enough.

So..share with me what is your favourite style or type of card to make?

Also...we have a major prize over at the ATU blog in partnership with Papercrafts Magazine (I buy every copy- just love it and can't resist it!!!). Click here to see how you can play to win- just by being YOU!

Kraftin' Kimmie weekly challenge- use stars!

This week's krafty challenge is brought to us by our Krafty Momma herself- Diana! I love this woman- I wish she would adopt me actually. She has challenged us to use stars on our card and just for her I dusted off the ole cricut again and made many stars to make my stampin' momma happy!

I used Vic the Vampire to help bring some more star power to my card. He is just a dapper lil fellow! To see how you can play along and to see all the DT creations to get your mojo running click here to go to the challenge blog.

2nd Post- My creations with the SGD August card kit and Mercy's sketches..

The August SGD card kits are now available! Click here to go to the store and grab yours before they are gone.

I have all 3 stamps from this month's kit and wanted to make 3 cards to show them off. I used the same pattern thanks to my friend Mercy's weekly sketch to keep it simple and to also stretch my materials as far as they could go. I made all 3 cards using one kit and I still have a TON of schtuff left! Love it! Feel free to use my cards for inspiration with your kits too.

And thank you Mercy for  your sketches as I am very sketch challenged myself hee hee! Miss you girl! Andi

My card over at All Things Unity today

Does this sooo not make you want to cuppa tea? I do..but then I always do! I just wanted to post a quick note to share the card you can see at the ATU challenge blog today for the Friend's with Flair hoedown. I used Unity stamps, Graphic 45 paper, a brad and lace from SU, my flower dyenamic from MFT and a embosslit thingy from Spellbinders. I picked up most of my supplies from my drug *ahem* I mean craft dealer Sheila at SGD.
Hope you like it! Andi

Paper Romance Challenge and Cute Card Thursday Challenge with Kraftin' Kimmie stamps

It's Thursday so that means the Paper Romance girl's are playing along with another challenge. This week's challenge is to use a metal embellishment on your card. I used brads in different colours to help meet this challenge. I also used a sketch from Cute Card Thursday as Kraftin' Kimmie is sponsoring this week's challenge. Click here to go to the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps challenge blog where you can read these challenge details and also have 2 chances to win!
Two challenges in one card- woot woot! I love when challenges can work together.

I used Snow White from KKS and the new Apple Cider paper as I always have to get the newest paper on the market hee hee! Now I know when you think of Snow White you think of Red, Blue and Yellow as she was wearing that in the story that made her famous but seriously- the girl is a princess and does have other outfits. This is one from her Fall Collection and she also lighted her hair to a soft brown for Fall. The black hair is for her Winter clothes. You buying any of this tee hee???

Click here to go to the PR Challenge blog and read more about our Amy's challenge and see how you can play along to win. My fellow DT members also have some mind blowing creations to share- love their work!

Happy Crafting- Andi xoxo

Your Next Stamp Challenge- use summer colours!

This week's YNS challenge is to make a card using some bright summery colours. I used Mini Fairy Fhiona and made a 5.25x5.25 square card to keep the size of the card relative to the size of this uber cute stamp. As we needed bright colours I used my new sheets of Echo park summer paper and it even had clouds on it for my pretty fairy Fhiona- seriously perfect! I coloured her with copics and added stickles to her wings as of course fairy wings need to sparkle. A bit of ribbon, some flowers and a small Prima pebble finish this card off. I got a huge seal of approval from everyone at my house on this card- even our toddler guests told me how 'purdy' she is. I hope you like it too! For my DT creations click here to go to the YNS blog and get your inspiration going!

SSSssshhhhhh...and while you are on the blog look to the left hand side for the fall stamp blinkie as I saw a peek of some Halloween Fhiona's. Yay!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Release day fun!

Today Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is releasing their new spoooooooooky August images! As you’ve seen over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, Annie Rodrigue has created some super cute and creepy designs! There are eight images in the complete set and one of them is a very special one that we have created from Annie’s original painting, Batty Princess!

And Steven Leary is back with Miles the Mouse and his ghoulfriend, Maisie along with some new fun characters! They are having a lot of trick or treatin’ fun and you’ll get to check them all out in today’s August release day KRAFTY HOP!!

I had soooo much fun creating this Halloween decoration using Pumpkin Miles for my sweet baby girl's upcoming Halloween in Summer birthday party. I grabbed a shadow box and painted it my fave colour purple, used some Graphic 45 Halloween/Alice in Wonderland paper and sit down for this one...my cricut for the window, webbing, skeletons and spooky eyes. Yep I blew the dust off my cricut and used a new Halloween cartridge I picked up to help make decorations for the party. My Junior Krafty girl used Halloween Miles and Maisie to make her party invites and also to make her blog hop card welllll in advance. Maybe she really is Kimmie's as her mom works only under deadline pressure hee hee. I have to say I was sooo proud to see the invites she designed all herself and made 15 of them!

Now here are today's hop deets. If you are hopping along already you would have come from my sweet Victoria's blog- love that girl! To continue on please click here to go to one of my favourite people in the world Jessica Diedrich who is one of our crafty guests this month. If you want to start from the beginning, just head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge Blog! As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of stamps from the new release!! And when you’re done hoppin’, be sure to head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie shop, because ALL the new images are NOW available! OH and did we mention? Each and every order placed this week, will be entered into a draw?? One lucky customer will win a 5x7 print of Annie’s Batty Princess!!

Also we’re doing something new this month!! For those of you who just HAVE to have all the new images, we’ve got the perfect thing for you! It’s called the ‘Gimme Kimmies Kit’!!! Instead of clicking on each image that you’d like, you only have to click once to pick up a Gimme Kimmies Kit AND it’s at a discounted price!! What could be better???

Cheers, Andi xoxo

Day 2 of our SPooKy previews for Kraftin' Kimmie stamps...

Today I am showing the super spooky couple Halloween Miles and Maisie being released Sunday from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. I am a HUGE fan of Miles and this image was so fun to colour. I used more of my new DCWV Halloween stack and I used some new pastels called Pan Pastel that Sheila will be carrying at SGD. I am playing around with them for her so we can find a way to incorporate them into our classes. I used a bright green around the image then went back in and added some orange to make them glow....and make them even more sPooKy..woOOooo. Did I scare you...hope not hee hee.

Today is very very special to me for another reason. It was 11 years ago today, also on a Friday the 13th that my sweet baby and Junior Krafty girl Katie was born. Happy Happy Birthday my precious girl- my good luck charm. We love you very much! xoxo

August Sneaky Peeky's for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

**Please scroll down for today's Paper Romance post- yes you read that correctly- I have 2 posts today-please don't faint with surprise hee hee**
Halloween is a HUGE deal at my house. It's my hubby's favourite holiday. I realize now that should have been a red flag when I met him but I am in too deep now to escape so I accept it lol. He loves loves loves all things Halloween (except for the cutesy things I try to put out each year and he puts back) and just adores scary movies. I have to say I have also been able to watch a *few* scary movies with him this past year to his delight as I am so jumpy he watches me for entertainment instead of the movie...sheesh! Our children also love Halloween probably due to their Dad's influence so I actually send out lots of Halloween cards each year to family and friends as they all check in to see how my DH is enjoying his holiday season tee hee!

So imagine how fun this month's Kraftin' Kimmie stamps release is for me when it is all about Halloween! My first preview is using Batty Princess. She is sooo cool with funky hair. I used some new DCWV Halloween paper, ribbon, stickles and Ranger glossy accents on my card. Of course she is also coloured with my copic markers- not too often I use anything else!

Now I hope she didn't frighten you away and if you are still here reading this I DARE you to click here to go to the challenge blog and see what other scary creations there are for you to see today.......if you DARE...

PRC11- It's all Pink and shiny!

I have to say the ever so talented Ms. Lori had a fabulous idea for this week's challenge- make it pink and blingey! I {heart} pink soo much and any time I get to use my crystals is a happy day for me! I used another Kraftin' Kimmie image that you can find at Paper Romance and also some of my hoarded Webster's Pages. I then used my crystals, a big Prima flower and 2 of my Prima pebbles that just added more vintage to the card. I also found some Fairy Tale rub on's and used the Royal Ball sentiment from the package from DCWV. Phew...I am soo proud of me for remembering all of this..I probably made a mistake somewhere hee hee!

I also used the following Copic Markers- E000, E00, E25, E27, E29, R20, R81, R83, R85, R89 and C3 for the small shading under her foot.

To get the full details on how you can play along with us and win some $$ to the Paper Romance store click here to go to the challenge blog and I should warn you- the DT samples this week will have you wanting sooo many cute stamps! Ciao- Andi

ATU Challenge- School Dayz!

This week for our All Things Unity challenge we are heading back to school! Make a card with a back to school theme to play along with us. I had this tag I made in CHA at the October Afternoon booth and I have been wondering how to use it as it was too pretty to just be put in a box to hoard- not that I EVER do that hee hee! I found some cool 'bubble test' paper in my scrap pile- I think it may even be from October Afternoon!?!. I sewed the tag onto the paper then attached it to a kraft card base. Which by the way I noticed all the ATU girls used a kraft base lol! I then stamped the schoolhouse directly onto the tag and chose a sweet sentiment that to me summed up what I hope all students and teachers aim to do- inspire. I stamped both in black versafine ink and voila!

Click here to go to the challenge blog to play along and see the rest of the creations- all on snazzy kraft card bases :) Andi xoxo

Kraftin' Kimmie stamps weekly challenge- Make a 'guy' birthday card

This week at the KKS challenge blog sweet Victoria has challenged us to make a card for the dudes! I love Miles for these types of cards and it gave me just the excuse to use BBQ Miles that had yet to see ink even though I love him so much! Nothing screams 'man' to me like bbq'ing and drinking a cold one hee hee! I used some of my October Afternoon stash and my copics to help make this simple but I think cute birthday card. I then used a sentiment from last year's winter themed sentiments as it fit Miles perfectly...'just chillin' hee hee!

Now this card isn't for the boys because it was made for me by my youngest DD. Isn't it cute!!! I just adore how she composed her card, right down to the swirl of pearls. This child is a natural I tell ya! It also came with a coupon to cheer me up with a hug anytime I need it. Seriously...this is something I will treasure it always.

To see how you can play along to win and to also see the other amazing DT creations click here to go to the challenge blog and play along. Have a great weekend everyone! Andi xoxo

Birthday Blog Hop for Your Next Stamp!

Today is a very special day as Your Next Stamp is celebrating its very 1st birthday with a Birthday Blog Hop!

The YNS Starlets are being joined by some fabulous friends (like me hee hee) for this hop, and together we are showcasing some fantastic new release stamps as well as some firm favourites!  These new stamps are available to buy from today from Your Next Stamp, along with all your YNS favourites.

If you'd like to participate in the hop and you didn't arrive here from Simonne's blog, please CLICK HERE to return to the start of the hop at Karen's blog, as I'm sure you don't want to miss out on all the fun we have for you today!

The hop starts today (Thursday, August 5th at 08:00 EST) and ends on Wednesday August 11th at midnight (EST).

We have not one but two grand prizes for you to win - two lucky winners will be drawn at random to each receive a $25 gift certificate to spend on YNS stamps!  WOW!  As the prize is so fantastic, we are going to make you work a little to enter, LOL!  Each Starlet and Guest Starlet have a letter hiding in their blog post.  All you need to do is gather these letters, rearrange them to form a 3-word phrase, and then email this phrase to Karen.  All correct entries will be entered into the grand prize draw.  So make sure you hop around every blog and remember to leave a comment at every stop too.

My secret letter is .... T

All that cake must have affected Karen as she has gone a little crazy and is holding a 20% off sale for the duration of the hop - the crazy part is that everything will be reduced by 20%, including items already on sale!  I'm not sure when (or even if!) this will happen again, so make sure you hop on over to the YNS store once you've completed the hop and fill your basket!

I have used the new August release Play Day stamp for my blog hop creation ..... isn't it stinkin' cute!!!

So now it's time for you to hop on over to the fabulously talented Angela's blog as she is the next stop on our hop, but don't forget to grab my hidden letter first and also leave me a comment!

Thanks so much for hopping with us today!  I hope you enjoy our birthday celebrations and new stamps! Andi xoxo

Down Memory Lane...Unity cards

I was soooo happy to meet some of the most AMAZING peeps from Unity that I grabbed my old Unity cards from my old blog to share them here. These are the images and quotes that started my love affair with Unity. Sorry for the quality of the pics- this was all so new to me then! Little did I know I would one day meet these amazing people who are just as nice in real life as they are online. Here are some photo's I stole (hee hee) that are of me with these amazing people.
This is Maren, Jeanne, me, Kimmie and Jimmi. Maren is just the cutest little thing and a sweetheart! Jeanne was fun and a great roomie.

Me and Broman- he is hilarious!

Jimmi, Adam, me and Mr. Unity himself- Christian- Christian made me laugh so hard I was in danger of pee'ing my pants many a time. And Jimmi- where to start- this girl is freakin' AMAZING!! Is it weird I want to hang out with her already? Don't want to scare the poor girl away hee hee!

Angela and me again- my eyes look so weird- I was trying to wear contacts. Angela is just a beautiful soul and helps inspire all of us to live our dreams xoxo

I have more pics of some of the ladies that once I find my camera cord I can upload. I just love Eva and Michelle- well I wish I could take her home with me to hang out with. And Eryn is just adorable and so full of life...I could go on and trust me when I get my photo's I will!
